In the 17th century we found various patronyms in Brugge. They have prob. disappeared after 1700.These patronyms varies a lot: Pensemal (St Anna), Pensmel, Pinsemel, (St Jacobs), Pinsemale (St Jacobs), Spensemaille (St Jacobs), Spinnaylie (St Anna), Spinnevale (St Andries), Spinseveele (Ste Catharina), Spinsmaille (Ste Catharina) . We find also a lot of the shortened patronym under various forms: Pins and Spins, but we need further research to establish a link with the other families: Pensemal, ... etc. (see above) |
